Salve Regina University Joins Tuition Rewards Salve Regina University, a vibrant learning community where intellectual curiosity and ethical responsibility converge, has become the first Rhode Island member of Tuition Rewards, expanding our unique enrollment consortium to exactly 250 private colleges & universities in 41 states.

Located in historic Newport on seven contiguous estates and 80 oceanfront acres, the spectacular Salve Regina campus features 21 historic architectural treasures that have been adapted to fit the needs of 2,000 undergraduate and 500 graduate students from 35 states and 17 countries. 85% of undergraduates come from out-of-state.

Salve Regina's core curriculum provides immeasurable opportunities for students to customize their educational journey, with a choice of 46 undergraduate majors. Most unique is a cultural and historic preservation major.

Coed since 1973, Salve Regina encourages community service. Students can participate in more than 40 clubs and organizations. Eighteen varsity athletic teams compete in the NCAA Division 3 Commonwealth Coast Conference. The University's Rodgers Recreation Center is the pre-season training home of the NBA's Boston Celtics.

Founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1947, Salve Regina is the 62nd Catholic college to join Tuition Rewards.
