Saint Joseph’s College of Maine Joins SAGE Tuition Rewards

Saint Joseph’s College of Maine Joins SAGE Tuition RewardsSaint Joseph's College of Maine, a learning destination for students at all stages of their academic careers, has become the 90th Catholic college to participate in the SAGE Tuition Rewards consortium. Nine colleges in the Sisters of Mercy tradition are now SAGE members.

With a campus of nearly 500 acres on the shores of scenic Sebago Lake, 18 miles outside the city of Portland, Saint Joseph's offers a career-focused education that strongly encourages community-based learning, internships and skill building to advance environmental sustainability. The college offers stipends of up to $2,000 per year to juniors and seniors to cover the cost of internships and research program, including travel.

Founded in 1912, Saint Joseph's has been recognized by The Princeton Review as one of the nation's "Green Schools" and by the Carnegie Foundation as "Community Engaged." The 1,000 undergraduates thrive on a residential campus that includes a Freight Farm and the Stone Barn at Sebago Lake agritourism center. Campus life is about connecting and can include sunset kayak trips on the lake, a polar plunge in the lake to raise money for the student Habitat for Humanity chapter or skiing at nearby Shawnee Peak.

Undergrads can choose from 40 majors and 30 minors; nursing, healthcare management and radiologic technology are especially popular. Offering 19 varsity sports, Saint Joseph's competes in the NCAA Division III Great Northeast Athletic Conference, consistently advancing into tournament play.

Saint Joseph's offers online degree and certificate programs to 2,000 undergraduate and graduate students.
