University of the Cumberlands (Williamsburg, KY) Joins Tuition RewardsUniversity of the Cumberlands, offering a broad-based liberal arts program emphasizing service and leadership based on Christian values, today joined SAGE Tuition Rewards. Nestled in the Kentucky mountains, the University offers a strong work-study program, with self-help initiatives to keep tuition affordable to students of all income levels.

The college remains true to its founding purpose: "To provide a first-class education at rates that are compatible with the means of mountain people." Offering 37 majors and 30 minors to 1,732 undergraduates, the University of the Cumberlands provides pre-professional programs in dentistry, engineering, law, medicine, nursing, optometry, pharmacy, physical therapy and veterinary medicine.

Founded in 1889, the school received initial philanthropic support from John D. Rockefeller and Andrew Carnegie. The institution has produced two governors, five military generals, an admiral, five college and university presidents, a Congressman, ministers, missionaries, legislators, judges, medical doctors, attorneys and teachers. Famous names associated with the University include William Jennings Bryan, Duncan Hines, Bing Crosby and Henry Clay Frick. The University is the 9th SAGE member college affiliated with the International Association of Baptist Colleges & Universities.
