Defiance College Joins Tuition RewardsDefiance College, where undergraduates fully engage in research programs that rarely happen before graduate school, has become the 29th Ohio college to join the SAGE Tuition Rewards Enrollment Consortium.

Students at Defiance can put an individual stamp on their education through an interdisciplinary focus. The 600+ undergraduates create capstone projects that represent a deeper understanding of their academic accomplishments. An extraordinary 10:1 student-faculty ratio allows for remarkable learning experiences that connect the classroom to the real world.

Defiance is home to the nationally-acclaimed McMaster School for Advancing Humanity, a unique program that gives students incredible opportunities to conduct research and service in specially-designed projects around the world. DC is consistently recognized by the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.

DC is also home of the Hench Autism Studies Program, an innovative, multi-faceted program designed to specifically address the late adolescent years and the transition of individuals with autism to adulthood. The ASD Affinity Program supports college students with ASD in reaching their full potential with varying levels of academic, social and residential assistance.

Founded in 1850, Defiance manages the adjacent Thoreau Wildlife Sanctuary as a living laboratory, ideal for the school’s restoration ecology and environmental studies programs. The DC Yellow Jackets compete in 16 varsity sports in the NCAA Division III Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference. Defiance is the 9th U.S. college affiliated with the United Church of Christ to participate in the SAGE consortium.
