Wells College (Aurora, NY) Joins Tuition Rewards

Wells College (Aurora, NY) Joins Tuition RewardsWells College is located on 300 marvelously scenic acres on Cayuga Lake, an hour from Rochester and Syracuse. The liberal arts college was founded in 1868 by noted financier Henry Wells, founder of American Express and Wells Fargo. Originally limited to women, Wells went coed in 2005. There's a liberal arts focus, with 5-year graduate degree programs available in business administration, engineering and teaching. Students may register for classes at nearby Cornell University and Ithaca College.

Rated an "America’s Best Value" college by the Princeton Review, Wells offers a strong study-abroad program, an innovative January "term", small class sizes that foster student-faculty interaction and a commitment to diversity. Wells' mission is to "educate students to think critically, reason wisely, and act humanely as they cultivate meaningful lives." Frances Folsom Cleveland, wife of President Grover Cleveland and the first "first lady" to attend college, is a Wells alumna. Men's & women's basketball teams will debut in 2008-09; a gym floor has been purchased from a company that supplied the Atlanta Hawks, the University of Florida and the 2004 Olympic Games.
