Linfield College Joins SAGE Scholars Consortium

Linfield College Joins SAGE Scholars ConsortiumLinfield College, a diverse community that supports students in a welcoming and inspiring environment, is the second Oregon college to join the SAGE Scholars Enrollment Consortium.

Founded in 1858, Linfield is home to more than 1,700 students – from 29 states and 27 countries – at the 189-acre residential main campus in McMinnville, an hour from Portland and an hour from the Pacific Ocean. Linfield's Portland campus, affiliated with a hospital and medical center, is home to 350 nursing majors.

Linfield is devoted exclusively to undergraduate study. Academic expectations are high, and intellectual curiosity thrives. Students benefit from an 11:1 student-faculty ratio; there are rich liberal arts and science opportunities in 48 majors. The intimate environment allows for fewer than 20 students in 70% of classes. The probability of a student graduating from Linfield in four years is 35% higher than at the University of Oregon and 99% higher than at Oregon State University.

Linfield offers opportunities in 40 clubs and organizations (14 devoted to music), in fraternities and sororities and in 19 varsity sports. Posting a winning football record for an incredible 60 consecutive years, The Wildcats reached the NCAA Division 3 Football Final Four this past December. Linfield's baseball team won the D-3 national championship in 2013. The softball team was national champion in 2007 and 2011.
