University of the Sciences has prepared students to be leaders and practitioners in the healthcare and science fields for nearly 200 years. Key to its distinctive education is a tradition of hands-on research and experiential learning that is evident in every graduate who has walked its campus. Since its founding in 1821 as Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, the first college of pharmacy in North America, USciences has grown to more than 30 degree-granting programs from bachelor’s through doctoral degrees in the health sciences, bench sciences, and healthcare business and policy fields. Founded in 1821 as the first college of pharmacy in North America, USciences offers a variety of program/degree options, effective pre-med preparation, and direct entry admission into pharmacy, physical therapy, occupational therapy programs when key criteria are met.

With a 9:1 faculty/student ratio, USciences' 1,200+ undergraduate students have access to research as early as their first year, state-of-the-art equipment in over 100 labs, and quality internship opportunities in a close-knit learning environment.

Plentiful employment opportunities are available near our beautiful 36-acre campus in the quiet, tree-lined University City neighborhood of Philadelphia, PA, with 15 major health systems, seven medical schools, 800+ life science companies, retail and independent pharmacies, pharmaceutical, research, manufacturing and business facilities. Many alumni remain in the area, providing a vast network.

USciences students work hard and play hard with 60+ student clubs/organizations, including professional societies, club sports, cultural organizations, volunteer groups, fraternities and sororities. And with Division II Devils Athletics to cheer on, there’s something for everyone.
