Georgetown College

Georgetown College, a private, coed, residential liberal arts college, Georgetown combines its historical Baptist tradition with quality academic programs and freedom of inquiry to encourage students to become global citizens who live, learn and believe with balance and respect.

Founded in 1787 and chartered in 1829, Georgetown’s vibrant, diverse community is student-centered. A 15-to-1 student-to-faculty ratio and small classes allow professors to know their students well, expressing care while creating demanding and challenging academic programs. Georgetown offers a variety of ways to engage in learning beyond the classroom, including an equine and global scholars programs, study abroad and numerous service-learning opportunities.
