Indiana Wesleyan University (Marion, IN), an evangelical Christian comprehensive university of The Wesleyan Church, is one of America's fastest-growing and dynamic Christian universities. Committed to liberal arts and professional education, IWU now has more than 15,000 students attending its undergraduate and graduate programs. IWU is the largest institution affiliated with the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU) and Indiana's largest private university.
3,200 undergraduates attend classes on IWU's 350-acre main campus. With most buildings constructed in the last 20 years, students live and learn in state-of-the-art residence halls and academic facilities. IWU offers students a choice of 70 majors.
The University is one of 12 independent colleges cited as a national leader for the freshman-year experience. IWU has received national attention for its innovative adult education programs, launched in 1985. In the spring of 2009, Wesley Seminary at Indiana Wesleyan University was formed. Two national organizations have tapped IWU as a "best place to work."
University athletic teams compete in the Mid-Central College Conference. IWU teams have won 24 national titles - an NAIA crown from the record-setting 2006-07 women's basketball team (38-0) and 23 National Christian College Athletic Association championships.
