Member College Profile

Nationally recognized and affordable, Trine University offers a first-class educational experience, state-of-the-art facilities and the flexibility of taking courses in five schools: Allen School of Engineering and Technology, Ketner School of Business, Franks School of Education, Jannen School of Arts and Sciences, and Rinker Ross School of Health Sciences.

The approximately 3,000 undergraduates can choose among 34 majors and receive the individual attention from expert faculty you would expect from a 14:1 student-to-faculty ratio and a 15-to-20 student average class size. Internship and co-op opportunities are extensive, leading to real-world, skill-based knowledge. As a result, our graduates are highly sought after by employers, with more than 99 percent of Trine graduates over the past three years employed or in graduate school within six months of commencement.

Trine is recognized for graduating students with a lower debt load than other universities. The university offers merit-based, competitive scholarships and other financial assistance programs, with the average Trine student receiving more than $27,000 in financial aid each year. The combination of a quality, career-focused education, high employment rates for graduates and generous financial aid has resulted in Trine being the fastest-growing private college in Indiana over the past several years.

Founded in 1884, Trine offers resort-quality facilities on a beautifully transformed 450-acre main campus in Angola, Indiana, including our very own 18-hole championship golf course. The university has invested more than $155 in campus improvements since 2000. The Thunder Ice Arena opened in fall 2017, with the MTI Center – which will include basketball courts, a six-lane bowling alley and esports arena – opening in January 2018 and an expansion to Reiners Residence Hall opening in fall 2018. There are new apartment-style housing options (even for freshmen!), exercise facilities, NCAA Division III athletic opportunities (23 women and men’s sports) and 60 student organizations.
